How to draw anime faces with perspective that still feels solid

Stylization works better when the underlying volume is correct. Anime faces can simplify the planes, but they still need a coherent center line, cheek rhythm, and chin placement.

1

Keep the skull volume, then stylize the contour

A smaller nose and sharper chin do not erase the cranial ball. Start with the same head construction, then carve the silhouette into your chosen style.

2

Simplify features after the head turns

Do not paste symmetrical anime eyes onto a turned head. Rotate the face first, then decide how much to compress or enlarge the visible eye.

3

Use light to describe planes, not realism

Even a clean cel-shaded face benefits from believable plane changes on the forehead, cheek, nose wedge, and jaw. Think clarity, not detail.
